Naete! We haven't seen him in a long while!
Thought I'd revisit the style I used here, and since it's been forever since I've drawn anyone from the Book of Naete part of the story, I thought I'd give it a go.
Naete and baby Li'l Badger in the town graveyard. In actuality, Li'l Badger wasn't nearly that big when he was a baby. (or presently, for that matter.)

I have to say, I'm really loving this style you've been developing. It's so simple, sorta surreal, and so very fairytale-ish.

I know this is a bit late in the asking, but who exactly is Naeta?

Thanks very much! (it's mostly based on Goofatopia, you know!)

Oh! Well, about halfway through the story, we cut away from The Peddler, and there's a whole other plotline that'll be in comic format. That's the Book of Naete, and he's the main character of it. :)

:giggle: That's so hard for me to wrap my head around because as I look at this all I can think is, "This is way better than Goofatopia!" :XD:

Ah-ha! Well, that will be a joy to see when it comes about (if I have the privilege of seeing it). Your comic style has always been great.

I really like this stylization you've been working on here. I'd look forward to seeing some twisted fairy tale, or gothic kids' book, with a dreary and sparse narrative style, illustrated this way- in addition to Book of Naete and The Peddler, I mean. I could seriously see you illustrating an old Russian folk tale in this manner and publishing it.

Why thank you! Interesting idea! Maybe I shall someday!
