This is very strange, I know. Like he would ever look that seductive. Like he even knows what seductive means. (No seriously) I was just sort of copying this picture that’s on this video: [link] , because the song fits him (especially the second verse). I tried doing this lineless, which was REALLY hard. I think I like the results though.
If you completely take away the romantic context from that song, it fits The Wandering Jester really well. He’s practically a parasite in his relationships with other people; indirectly forcing them to look after him by his inability to do it himself. He knows that he does this, and he’s not happy about it, but he doesn’t really know what to do about it. And the way it’s been handled in the past kinda made him both even more selfish and feel guiltier about it at the same time.
Another thing I’ve noticed recently about him... He really has a tendency towards wanting revenge. It’s weird, but he’s more prone to anger than one would expect. Cuz I was thinking like, there’s this thing that happens in the story that he’s not around for, and I haven’t decided if he’ll ever find out about it or not, but if he did, he’d be furious, and he would really really really REALLY want to take revenge for it. (which I mention because if you listen to the song in the context of him, the lines about “the betrayer” would be in reference to this event.) I think it has to do with the fact that the people he knows he relies on to be stable and solid because he isn’t, so when they’re not he takes whatever upset their peace to be something really really horrible, and he gets really mad at whatever’s responsible, both for hurting a person he cares about, and for removing whatever semblance of stability he had in them. Though I doubt he’d ever actually give it that much thought.
I like giving him weird new outfits. This one was kind of a prototype for one he’ll wear later on in the story. I think I’ll make it more diamond-based instead of square-based when I get to it, though.
